February 9, 2019 - Jonathan Rowan Begins 2019 Season With Winternationals at East Bay
1Monday night saw Jonathan Rowan kick off the 2019 season at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) for the 43rd annual Wrisco Winternationals. With 53 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand, Rowan recorded the ninth fastest time in his group in qualifying but got caught in a tangle in his heat that prevented him from finishing a lap. Slated to start near the tail of his B-Main, Jonathan scratched from the event to prepare for the rest of the week.

Returning on Tuesday, Jonathan jumped up one spot in his heat race to place 8th. Needing a 2nd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Rowan logged a 13th place outing.

On Thursday evening, Rowan gained one spot in his heat race to place 7th. Failing to place 2nd or better in his B-Main, Jonathan transferred into the Strawberry Dash for another shot at the $7,000-to-win A-Main. Sending only the race winner into the show, Jonathan Rowan recorded a 9th place finish.

For the fifth round, Jonathan jumped up one spot in his heat to place 7th. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Rowan posted a 5th place finish. Starting on the pole of the Strawberry Dash for one final shot at the main event, Jonathan slipped back to a 10th place outing.

Wrapping up the 43rd annual Winternationals on Saturday, Rowan slipped back to an 11th place finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Needing to place 3rd or better to make the 50-lap finale, Jonathan fell short with an 8th place outing.
